First Vietnam Real Estate Forum to be held

As many as 800 domestic and foreign investors, property businesses and experts are expected to attend the first annual Vietnam Real Estate Forum, which will be held on November 15.

- As many as 800domestic and foreign investors, property businesses and experts are expected toattend the first annual Vietnam Real Estate Forum, which will be heldon November 15.

The information was announced by theVietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA)’s Chairman Nguyen Tran Nam at a pressconference on November 8.

"The forum, organised by VNREA incooperation with financial-economic channel VITV, is a large event that willassess the real estate market in a comprehensive manner, from commodities andsegments to housing-related issues such as land, finance, credit and tax,"Nam said.

There will be thematic seminars ontopics such as "Cheap Commercial Housing and Social Housing,""Renovation of old apartment buildings," "Green Building"and "Resort Real Estate,” followed by discussion sessions.

At the forum, four reports from fourministries will be provided to attendants. Specifically, the Ministry ofConstruction will give a general overview of the real estate situation in Vietnam,the Ministry of Finance will present tax reform for the real estate market, theMinistry of Natural Resources and Environment will give a presentation onamendments to land procedures and policies and the State Bank of Vietnam willreport credit policies for the real estate market.

Held at the National ExhibitionConstruction Centre, this year’s forum is expected to have a positive impact onthe property market in the year end and in the future.

The seminars will give investors andreal estate businesses a chance to exchange opinions on market trends, therebyseeking market segments with high liquidity to invest in. Through thesediscussions, they will also be able to come up with proposals andrecommendations for State management agencies on the problems that need to beaddressed.

In addition to providing a panoramicview of the market in 2017 and updating the latest trends, the first annualVietnam Real Estate Forum is also an opportunity to promote brands and imagesof all stakeholders working in the field of investment, business, distributionand management of real estate operations in the country and internationally.
