Hanoi (VNA) – An online e-book trading platform is to be launched in Vietnam, the fi𝓰rst of its kind in the country, with a view to boosting the local e-book market, according to the Sai Gon Giai phong (Libe𒆙rated Saigon) daily.

The platform, www.rebooks.com.vn , was built under cooperation between R Books Co. Ltd and Phoenix Global Wealth Management.
The two sides will work together to select topics for English and Vietnamese e-book publication to sell copyrights and publish online in domestic and foreign markets. ReBooks also provides publishing, translation and media services to help its clients provide their books to readers around the world.
The platform is a trading floor of draft versions and will be in charge of book distribution if domestic publishers buy the drafts. It will also support Vietnamese writers if foreign publishers want to buy their work. In the initial phase, it will focus its activities on foreign books on economics, management, startups and finance. The trading floor is also building a system to help translate drafts written in Vietnamese into English. The e-book market has posted strong global growth recently. However, after positive development in Vietnam for a period of time, the market has become more stagnant, mostly due to a lack of a concentrated distribution network that can provide diverse books and easy access for readers.-VNA
