First Fashionology Festival opens in Ho Chi Minh City

The first Fashionology Festival kicked off on Nguyen Hue Walking Street in HCM City on October 20, promising to entertain visitors with attractive fashion shows which use the latest technologies.

HCM City (VNA) – Thefirst Fashionology Festival kicked off on Nguyen Hue Walking Street in Ho ChiMinh City on October 20, promising to entertain visitors with attractive fashionshows which use the latest technologies.

During the three-day event,visitors are offered chances to see 450 collections by domestic designers andthose from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos.

In the first night, under the themeof “Ban sac Vien Dong” (Far Eastern Identity), audiences were reminded of theimages of an old Sai Gon through traditional “ao dai” (long dress) collectionsand hippie and retro-style costumes made by 15 well-known Vietnamese designers.

On October 21, along withVietnamese designer Lam Gia Khang’s collection, collections of 14 famous namesin Southeast Asia are introduced under the theme of “New Waves”.

Meanwhile, in the last nightthemed “Future Stars”, young designers and excellent students will introducetheir outstanding collections.

All these performances offer theaudience a unique fashion experience by using the latest technologies, such as5D Mapping, Kinetic, and AR Magic Mirror.

Speaking at the opening ceremony,Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism La Quoc Khanh said thecity wants to create high-quality tourism products which are attractive tovisitors.

The event is expected to welcomeabout 100,000 visitors.-VNA
