Vientiane (VNA) ꦫ– The first Cambodia–Laos–Vietnam friendshipbicycle tournament opened in Vientiane on December 6.
Organised by the National Assembly of Laos, the event was partof the sidelines activities to welcome the first Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV)Parliamentary Summit taking place in Laos from December 4-7.
The sporting event gathered 45 cyclists from the threecountries to compete in a 35.2-km distance race in Vientiane.
⛎ According to the organising board,the race will serve to promote the regional sports movement, enhancepeople-to-people exchanges, and strengthen the close friendship among the three countries while contributing to the success of the summit andspreading the message of peace, friendship, solidarity, and cooperation forprosperity and sustainable development.
In the individualcategory, Vietnamese cyclists secured gold and bronze medals while silver medalwent to a Cambodia cyclist. Meanwhile, in the team category, the Cambodian team took the first place, followed by those of Laos and Vietnam, respectively./.
Vietnam always gives the highest priority to consolidating and enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with the Lao National Assembly, NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh affirmed in Hanoi on February 28.

Lao media on December 5 and 6 gave extensive coverage of Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue’s working trip to Laos to attend the first Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Parliamentary Summit.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
