Fireworks contest to light up Han River in Da Nang

A 20,000 seat stage has been set up along the Han River bank along Tran Hung Dao Street, in preparation for the sixth Da Nang international Fireworks Competition.
A 20,000 seat stage has been set up along the Han River bank alongTran Hung Dao Street, the central road of the city, in preparation forthe sixth Da Nang international Fireworks Competition.

Thecompetition, entities Love of the Han River, will see teams likeFireworks centre Khan of Russia and Melrose Pyrotechnics of the US,who will debut their performances along Tamaya Kitahara and hosts DaNang-Vietnam.

Director of Da Nang Culture, Sports and TourismDepartment Ngo Quang Vinh said at a recent meting that the city plans toprovide 36,000 tickets with prices ranging between 250,000 and 400,000VND (12-19 USD) for two nights of the competition on April 29-30.

Vinh also said the city has secured 22 billion VND (1.1 million USD) in sponsorship.

The event organising committee will organise street musicperformances, cuisine festivals and display national relics to promotethe competition.

The competition’s jury will include Vietnamese artists, musicians and foreign diplomats.

Last year, the Parente fireworks team from Italy won the competition -the second time in a row - with their colourful performance entitledThe Rainbow of Da Nang.-VNA

📖 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
