Nguyen NhanChien, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said thefestival, organised every four years, is expected to draw theparticipation of more than 100,000 people, including 7,000 artisans andlocal performers, as well as artists from various localities nationwide.
Themed “Bac Ninh – Kinh Bac Spirit”, the festival will be held in eight districts, town and the city of Bac Ninh .
A series of activities will be organised, including a Quan Ho (loveduets) singing contest, the 2014 sports festival, an ornamental plantand creature contest, a youngsters’ camp, and performances of folk musicand dance, said Chien.
Exhibitions, fairs will beheld, as will free tours, in Bac Ninh city and famous historical relicsites and trade villages across the province to promote Bac Ninh’stourism, he added.-VNA
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.
