Festival of light to mark New Year 2018 in HCM City

Hundreds of domestic and foreign artists will stage stellar performances at a light festival held on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street on December 31 to welcome the New Year 2018.

– Hundreds of domestic and foreign artists will stagestellar performances at a light festival held on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Streeton December 31 to welcome the New Year 2018.

The “New Year’s Countdown LiGHTS 2018” festival has three parts: Present,Tradition and Future, the organising board announced at a press conference onDecember 21.

The vibrant festival will enlighten stories of the southern hub - a modern andcivilised city that still preserves traditional values through folk arts.

Brilliant art performances will be delivered by Thanh Bui, Phuong Vy, Ngo HongQuang, Kieu Anh, Apl De ap, Jessica Reynoso and The Lyricist.-VNA

🎐 Exhibition features President Ho Chi Minh as founder of Vietnam’s revolutionary press

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
