The event was started with a stage performance on the uprisingand an offering of incense to commemorate the two famous sisters, TrungTrac and Trung Nhi.
Cultural and sport activities such asmartial arts performances, calligraphy and folk songs were alsoorganised during the festival.
The sisters led a revoltagainst northern dominators and regained independence for the countryand Trung Trac established herself as the ruler of an independent state,becoming the first female leader in the nation’s history.-VNA
