The L’Oréal – UNESCO Science Award For the Development of Women in Science on Monday afternoon celebrated 15 years in Vietnam with a mission of honouring and promoting Vietnamese women in science.

Three female scientists were granted the 2022 L'Oreal-UNESCO awards at a ceremony in Hanoi on November 25.

Dr. Chan Yoke Fun from Malaysia was announced as the winner of ASEAN-US Science Prize for Women 2020 on August 31 and received an cash award of 20,000 USD.

A group of influenza researchers and a forestry scientist were named winners of the Kovalevskaya Award 2019, a prize dedicated to outstanding female scientists.

The International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists - Asia and Pacific Nation Network (INWES-APNN) opened its eighth annual meeting in Hanoi on October 18, drawing over 200 female scientists from Asia-Pacific and representatives from the UN, international organisations and some ministries and agencies of Vietnam.

The eighth annual meeting of the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists-Asia and Pacific Nation Network (INWES-APNN) will take place in Hanoi on October 18-20.

The individual prize of the annual Kovalevskaya awards 2016 went to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Phi Phung, a lecturer from the University of Natural Science under the Vietnam National University – HCM City.
