“Feeling Japan” running high in Ho Chi Minh City

The annual festival attracted thecrowd for the demonstration of Origami paper art, Shibuya and Harajukufashion, performances of karate martial art and tea ceremony and aselection of delectable dishes.

Visitors also enjoyed ninjashows by masters from Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura, the biggest themepark reproducing villages, culture and lifestyle of the brilliant Edoperiod back to about 300 years.

Information about scholarship offers and screenings of Japanese films were also made available.

Co-hosted by the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh, the YouthCulture House and the Japan Tourism Agency, the event marks the soundfriendship between the two nations over the past 40 years, said Chairmanof Vietnam Tourism Association Nguyen Huu Tho.

Both sidespledged to join hands to increase Japanese arrivals in Vietnam to 1million, and the number of Vietnamese visitors to Japan to 200,000 inthe coming years, he added./.
