HCM City (VNA) - An exhibition featuring the life and revolutionary careerof President Ho Chi Minh has opened in HCM City.
Jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History and the Ho Chi Minh Museum branch in HCM City, the exhibition is partof activities commemorating the late President’s 131st birthday and marking 110years since he began his journey to find a way to save the country.
On display are over 100 documents and photos highlightinghis role in and contributions to Vietnam’s revolution for national liberation andthe world revolutionary cause.
Open until June 20, the exhibition also reflects the immense love for PresidentHo among his compatriots, comrades, and people worldwide, as well as the love andadmiration of leaders of foreign countries and people around the globe for the hero of national liberation and the great man of culture.

President Ho Chi Minh led Vietnam to success inits struggle for national independence. On September 2, 1945, he read the Declarationof Independence, proclaiming to the world the foundation of the Democratic Republicof Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Various activities have been held by overseas Vietnamese over the past few days to celebrate the 131st birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - 2021).
Organisations and people from all walks of life in the central province of Nghe An have offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien special national relic site in the leader’s home village on the occasion of the beloved national leader’s 131st birthday.
On Ho Chi Minh Square in Russia’s capital city of Moscow there is a monument of Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh which has been a popular place for public gathering of Vietnamese people on special occasions.
State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on May 19 offered incense and flowers to late President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh City as the country is celebrating the late leader’s 131st birthday (May 19), and 110 years since he left Nha Rong Wharf, starting his journey to search for ways to save the nation.
The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
Vietnam continues to sit just behind continental powerhouses Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
