Hanoi (VNA) – ✅An exhibition featuring 29 mostoutstanding illustrations of the “Hanoi is…” drawing contest is underway at theFrench Institute in the capital city (L'Espace).

The event is jointly organised by the United NationsEducational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), the HanoiDepartment of Culture and Sports, L'Espace and the Vietnam Local Artist Group(VLAG). It forms part of the ‘Unleashing Creativity Week 2021’launched by the municipal Cultural and Sports Department in late December. The exhibition also marked the launch of a website of the ‘HaNoi Rethink’ project at //hanoirethink.com. The project aims to help Hanoi realise its strategic visionof becoming a creative city in the field of design and cultural heritage with engagementof Vietnamese youth. The exhibition runs until January 2, 2022. In 2019, Hanoi was designated as part of the UNESCO CreativeCities Network. Joining the network was a significant step for the capital cityto raise its standing and create a new and more attractive image./.

🌳 Vietnamese culture takes centre stage in Korean city

💖 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
