Exhibition on Hoang Sa, Truong Sa comes to Quang Tri’s mountainous district

Quang Tri (VNA) – Maps, documents andimages on Vietnam’s sea and islands sovereignty collected at home and abroad are ondisplay in the mountainous district of Dakrong, central Quang Tri province.
The mobile exhibition, which opened on December 27, isco-organised by the provincial Department of Information and Communications andthe Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Among the exhibits there are documents containing historical evidence testifying to Vietnam’s legal sovereigntyover Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.
The exhibition also highlights socio-economic achievementsof Dakrong district through photos, on the occasion of the 25th founding anniversary of the locality (January 1, 1997).
Ha Sy Dong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee, said the exhibition will contribute to raising public awareness of their responsibility for safeguardingthe country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity over Hoang Sa and TruongSa.
The event is scheduled to last until January10,2022./.
Due to complicated historical, geographical, and legal conditions, the East Sea has been the subject of continued disputes between surrounding countries, including Vietnam. Given the situation, the country is required to identify appropriate policies to explore the sea’s potential and also settle the ongoing challenges.
Vietnam has shown its resolute objection to Taiwan’s military exercises in the territorial waters around Ba Binh island belonging to Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, and demanded Taiwan to end those actions and not to repeat them in the future, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang has said.
For generations, Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) have been sacred integral parts of Vietnam. Vietnam has historical evidence and a fully legal basis to affirm its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos in accordance with international law. This has been verified through many existing sources at home and abroad.

PM Chinh lauded the press’s historic role in the nation’s fight for independence and its ongoing process of national development, affirming that the Government always highly appreciates the close partnership and steadfast support of press agencies and journalists nationwide.
In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
The official launch of Emirates’ Dubai–Da Nang route on June 2 has sparked a “tourism revolution” for Vietnam’s central coastal city. Da Nang is emerging as a top destination for high-end travelers, particularly from the lucrative Middle Eastern market.
