The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC) Central Committee has received humanitarian response and early recovery support from the European Union and its member states through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)' Emergency Appeal to assist the Vietnamese people affected by Typhoon Yagi and its subsequent floodings.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) received a second batch of emergency relief supplies from Samaritan’s Purse, an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) focusing on humanitarian aid and community development, at Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport on September 22.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 9 issued a decision on allocating 100 billion VND (some 4 million USD) from the 2024 central budget reserve to support five provinces affected by typhoon Yagi.
