Nguyen Tran Vu, 14, was attacked and killed by an elephant on Nov. 8when he near the Da River in the southern province of Dong Nai.
A representative from Dong Nai's Forest Management Office said Vu andtwo other friends Trinh Hoang Dong and Nguyen Van Thom were going on amotorbike to do some fishing in Dinh Quan Province when anelephant appeared and attacked them.
Vu was stabbed bythe elephant's tusk and then died after sustaining trauma to the head.Dong and Thom were able to safely escape./.
