Drug traffickers arrested in central Thanh Hoa province
Two men were arrested on November 17 in Na Meo commune, Quan Son district, the central province of Thanh Hoa, for allegedly transporting 26,200 methamphetamine pills.

ThanhHoa (VNA) – Two men were arrested on November 17 in Na Meocommune, Quan Son district, the central province of Thanh Hoa, for allegedlytransporting 26,200 methamphetamine pills.
They are 40-year-old Sung Van Dinh and 34-year-old Sung Van Ly, both residingin Cat hamlet, Nhi Son commune, Muong Lat district, Thanh Hoa province.
The men confessed that on November 15, they illegally entered Laos to buy the methamphetaminepills which were hidden in cans of beer and soft drinks, and intended to besold in Vietnam.
The case is under further investigation.
On June 15, Thanh Hoa police also captureda man residing in Laos’ Houaphan province for transporting 1,200 methamphetaminepills.
Earlier this month, three people were arrested in the province for smugglingthree bricks of heroin from Laos to Vietnam.-VNA
The People’s Court of the northern mountainous province of Lang Son on August 9 sentenced 11 people to death over the illegal storage, transportation and trafficking of 799 cakes of heroin.
Police of Moc Chau and Van Ho districts, the northern mountainous province of Son La, arrested five people for illegally transporting and trading 40 packs of heroin on July 2.
