Dong Nai nearly achieves annual FDI attraction target

The southern province of Dong Nai attracted 55 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects and permitted 84 existing projects to add capital in the first nine months of 2017.

Dong Nai (VNA) – Thesouthern province of Dong Nai attracted 55 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projectsand permitted 84 existing projects to add capital in the first nine months of2017, with a total amount of 955.5 million USD, equivalent to 95.5 percent ofthe annual target.

According to the provincialDepartment of Planning and Investment, 339.4 million USD was poured into newprojects and the remaining was added to operational projects.

The province is now home to 1,300valid FDI projects worth 26.27 billion USD by investors from 45 countries andterritories. The leading investors were the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China)and Japan.

In recent years, Dong Nai has given priority to projectsusing advanced and eco-friendly technologies and fewer workers.-VNA
