The southeastern province of Dong Nai earned nearly 9.7 billion USD from exports over the past eight months, recording the highest year-on-year rise of 12.3 percent, according to the provincial Statistics Department.
In August, the locality earned over 1.3 billion USD from exports, up over 30 million USD from the previous month.
The month also recorded a significant increase of up to 70 percent of local goods shipped to the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, the US, China, and Japan.
Major commodities rising in the period included garment-textiles, footwear, handbags, wooden products, coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, machinery and electronic products.
According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the trend is buoyed by incentives offered to local enterprises in the international integration process.-VNA
