Dien Bien airport in the northwestern province of Dien Bien served more than 12,000 passengers from May 1-9, on the occasion of May Day holiday and the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7).

Dien Bien Airport in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien resumed operations in early December after being closed for 8 months for maintenance and upgrades. A month has now passed and it has been welcoming more passengers than ever. The airport is expected to help the local tourism sector soar in 2024.

Four important transport projects nationwide were inaugurated in the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 24.
