Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has hailed the Kirin Holdings Co. Ltd’s investment expansion in Vietnam as a right decision since the country’s beer and beverage market boasts huge potential.

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime MinisterVuong Dinh Hue has hailed the Kirin Holdings Co. Ltd’s investment expansion inVietnam as a right decision since the country’s beer and beverage market boastshuge potential.
He made the remarks at areception for Keisuke Nishimura, Executive Vice President and Senior ExecutiveOfficer of the group, in Hanoi on August 17.
The Vietnamese Government issparing no effort to improve business environment and increase competitivenessas well as create the most favourable conditions for both domestic and foreignenterprises, he said.
It is also stepping up theequitisation and divestment of State-owned enterprises, he said, adding thatsuch major brands as Habeco, Sabeco and Vinamilk are under the equitisationplan from now to 2020.
He hoped Kirin will expandinvestment in the field of beverages, especially those made from Vietnamesefresh fruits. The Vietnamese Government encourages non-alcoholic andnon-carbonated drinks.
Keisuke described Vietnam is alarge-scale market with strong development. Asthe Vietnamese Government is equitising State-run businesses, Kirin wants tomake long-term strategic investment in Sabeco - Vietnam's leading beerproducer, he said.
He also hoped to cooperatewith Sabeco in studying the development of fresh fruit juice in the future.
Established in 1907, Kirin hasbecome a global group with 188 subsidiary companies and around 40,000 employees.Specialising in the fields of food, beverages, pharmaceuticals andbio-chemicals, the group posted a revenue of 18.7 billion USD in 2016.-VNA
