Bratislava (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on September 20 metKatarina Filova, who presented flowers to President Ho Chi Minh 60 years agowhen he visited Czechoslovakia and Horne Saliby cooperative, during his visitto Slovakia.
Onthe occasion, he and local residents attended a ceremony to inaugurate a bronzeplate at the municipal administration building in Horne Saliby town, Trnavaprovince where President Ho Chi Minh visited on July 18, 1957.
Speakingat the event, Deputy PM Hue said the Vietnamese people always bear in mindsincere sentiments and valuable support of Slovakian people during the fightfor national liberation and construction.
Heexpressed thanks for Horne Saliby town and Trnava province for placing thebronze plate in remembrance of the late President 60 years ago.
TheVietnamese delegation was treated with local traditional food and dances bychildren.
Atthe municipal administration building, photos about President Ho Chi Minh’svisit and his autographs are stored in the traditional room, including a photo ofFilova in white shirt presenting flowers to distinguished guests.
Trnava is now home to more than 400 Vietnamesenationals. About 80km from Bratislava capital city, Horne Saliby town has 3,000local residents and three Vietnamese families. -VNA
