Beijing (VNA) – Deputy Prime Ministerand Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh is leading a Vietnamese delegation on atrip to China from April 16-18 to conduct the 10th meeting of the Vietnam –China Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation in Beijing.

The visit is made at the invitation of ChineseState Councillor Yang Jiechi.

The steering committee’s meeting aims to implementthe outcomes reached during the visit to China by Party General SecretaryNguyen Phu Trong in January 2016, and prepare cooperation plans in 2017.

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minhvisited the Vietnamese Embassy in China upon his arrival on April 16.

He said the Vietnam – China relations havewitnessed remarkable developments in both politics and economics in recentyears, adding that 2017 is an important year for the two countries.

He said after the visit toChina by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the two nations will makemore high-level visits this year.

The Deputy PM requested the Embassy𝓰 to work toenhance the bilateral cooperation in trade, investme𓄧nt, diplomatic affairs,people-to-people exchange, and tourism.-VNA
