Atthe meeting, the Deputy PM said he is glad that both sides agreed toexpand cooperation into areas such as oil and gas,agriculture-forestry-aquaculture and industrial processing.

He said he believes that Vietnam will benefit a great deal from cooperating with Venezuela in agricultural development.

TheVenezuelan Vice President briefed the host on the intergovernmentalcommittee meeting between Vietnam and Venezuela held from March 9-11,saying both sides reviewed current areas of cooperation and ways tofoster ties in various areas, including oil extraction.

Venezuela will also send more experts to Vietnam to help with irrigation systems for large-scale farms, he said.

Earlierin Hanoi on March 10, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngocand visiting Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Xoan Pablo Noyadiscussed ways to increase bilateral cooperation during the fifthpolitical consultation between the two foreign ministries.-VNA
