Defence minister pays official visit to Laos, attends ADMM-10

Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of Defence General Ng✃o Xuan Lich and a high-ranking military delegation left Hanoi on May 23 for an official visit to Laos and to attend the 10th ASEAN Defenc🔴e Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM-10) from May 23-26.
The visit, made at the invitation of the Lao Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Chansamone Chanyalath, aims to consolidate the traditional relations and special solidarity between the two countries’ peoples and armies.
The delegation’s participation at the ADMM-10 represents the country’s involvement in cooperative activities of the ADMM’s framework, thus contributing to maintaining regional and global peace, stability and development.-VNA
Senior defence officers of Vietnam and Laos held talks in Vientiane on August 26, hailing cooperation outcomes between the two countries’ defence ministries in the past year.
The Vietnamese Government will continue doing its utmost to coordinate with the Lao side in nurturing the two countries’ traditional friendship and cooperation, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Highlighting the transformative potential of the draft law in revitalising Vietnam’s railway industry, Hoang Van Cuong, a deputy of Hanoi, expressed his support for Article 39, which empowers the Prime Minister to issue a list of railway-related goods and services to be assigned or ordered from domestic enterprises for production.
