A Danish Film Week will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 19-27 as part of activities marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Denmark diplomatic relations.

Hanoi (VNA) – A Danish ꦿFilm Week will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 19-27 as part of activities marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Denmark diplomatic relations.

According to the Danish Embassy in Vietnam, the film week will introduce eight films of various genres like A Royal Affairs, The Candidate, Pirate, The Hunt, Silent Heart, Freddy Fog Face, Mini and Mozzies (cartoon film), and Family Circuit (documentary film).
The films will be screened at weekends at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi and Cinebox in HCM City. All these films got high rating from the international community and won many awards or nominations at international film festivals.
Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Charlotte Laursen said: “Culture and art is an important field of cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark. We believe that cultural and artistic activities help develop critical thinking that is needed for the development of a modern society.” During the film week, Vietnam viewers will have a chance to understand more of the modern life of Danish people as well as get accustomed with Denmark’s contemporary film industry which gives born to many world-class film makers and actors.-VNA
