Dak Lak prioritises school infrastructure investment for remote areas

The Central Highlands province of Dak Lak has invested more than 130 billion VND (5.5 million USD) in building and upgrading infrastructure in local schools, ahead of the 2018-2019 academic year due to start in September.
Dak Lak (VNA) – The Central Highlands province of Dak Lak hasinvested more than 130 billion VND (5.5 million USD) in building and upgradinginfrastructure in local schools, ahead of the 2018-2019 academic year due to startin September.

In preparation for the new academic year, the province hasbuilt and repaired 515 classrooms; as well as many labs, multi-purpose rooms,and toilets. The works are focused in remote areas and those with largely ethnicminority inhabitants, such as Lak, M’Drak, Ea H’Leo, and Ea Sup districts.

The education authorities have also bought new learningequipment for schools at all levels.

Pham Dang Khoa, head of the provincial Department ofEducation and Training, said that the facilities are now ready to serve the upcomingschool year.

Looking ahead, the locality will continue to mobiliseresources to invest in school infrastructure, striving for 80 percent of classrooms meeting requirements –VNA
