The Prime Minister has requested the Ministry of Finance providenearly 500 tonnes of rice to the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.
The provision is to help local people who are suffering from food shortages in the between-crop period.
According to the provincial People’s Committee, the current rice cropis underproductive due to serious drought, badly affecting thousands offarmers in the locality, especially those in remote areas.
Over 8,700 families with 32,800 members are waiting for rice support.-VNA
