Da Nang’s senior official disciplined for adultery
The Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee has decided to impose disciplinary measures against Nguyen Ba Canh, former member of the municipal Da Nang Party Committee and former permanent deputy head of the committee’s Mass Mobilisation Department.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Secretariat of theCommunist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee has decided to imposedisciplinary measures against Nguyen Ba Canh, former member of the municipal DaNang Party Committee and former permanent deputy head of the committee’s MassMobilisation Department.
The decision was made at the Secretariat’s meetingin Hanoi on May 14.
After taking into account the proposal made bythe CPV Central Committee’s Inspection Committee on May 6, 2019, theSecretariat found that during his time holding these positions, Canh, who has married,was having an extra-marital affair, shared a son, and was living with a womanother than his wife – conditions which violate laws on marriage and family.
Canh’s behaviour also infringed the CPV CentralCommittee’s regulations stipulating what Party members cannot do as well, asregulations of the Party Secretariat and municipal Da Nang Party Committee on theresponsibility of officials and Party members to set moral examples, especiallykey leaders and heads of agencies at all levels.
His wrongdoings are considered serious,adversely affecting the reputation of Party organisations.
Based on the Politburo’s Regulation No.102-QD/TWdated on December 15, 2017 disciplining violating Party members, theSecretariat decided to dismiss Canh from all of his Party positions.–VNA
The Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee has decided to issue a warning as a disciplinary measure against the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of the 2011-2016 tenure for its violations in the case regarding MobiFone’s purchase of 95 percent of the shares of AVG Audiovisual JSC.
The Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee on July 12 issued a warning as a disciplinary measure against Truong Minh Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and MIC Minister.

The ministry has instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel, Iran, as well as those in neighbouring countries, to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in high-risk areas.
