Da Lat, Sa Pa named among best new destinations for 2017

The resort towns of Da Lat in the Central Highlands and Sa Pa in the northern region have been included in a new list of the top 10 rising destinations in Asia by travel site TripAdvisor.

Hanoi (VNA) - The resort towns of Da Lat in the Central Highlandsprovince of Lam Dong and Sa Pa in the northern province of Lao Cai have beenincluded in a new list of the top 10 rising destinations in Asia by travel siteTripAdvisor.

DaLat is ranked fourth and Sa Pa, sixth.

Calledthe City of Eternal Spring, City of Flowers, and City of Love, Da Lat is fullof beautiful French-era buildings and surrounded by pine trees, flowers andvegetable farms.

Touristsare recommended to visit Linh Phuoc Pagoda, Truc Lam Zen Buddhist temple andElephant Falls, where they can try their hand at rafting, mountain biking andcanyoning.

SaPa, located some 2,000km further north, is known for its trekking trails. Thecolourful town is recognised as the perfect oasis for travellers on strenuousmountain treks and rice paddy tours.

Touristscan visit the Saturday night “love market”, the Gothic stone church in the towncentre and Vietnamese and European restaurants.

TheTravelers’ Choice Awards for Destinations on the Rise, released last week,recognised 43 destinations around the world selected based on travellers’reviews of accommodation, restaurants and attractions and increase in bookinginterest.-VNA
