CPV seeks to promote ties with French and British communist parties

Paris (VNA) - Vice Chairwoman of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Nguyen Thi Hoang Van had working sessions with representatives of political parties in the UK and France within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visits to the two European countries.

In France, Van worked with Lydia Samarbakhsh, Politburo member and Head of the French Communist Party (PCF)’s International Division; Olivier Faure, First Secretary of the Socialist Party; and Francois Peguillet, who is in charge of European affairs and international relations of The Republicans.

At these working sessions, representatives of the French political parties said they attach great importance to relations with the CPV, affirming that the ties between the French political parties and the CPV make an important contribution to promoting the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The two sides exchanged many practical contents to strengthen ties. They also agreed to promote the exchange of delegations, enhance the sharing of experiences, policy dialogues, theoretical seminars, cooperate at multilateral forums and expand collaboration between specialised agencies of each party.

At the meeting with representatives of the French Communist Party, the two sides vowed to coordinate well to prepare for a webinar with the theme of "President Ho Chi Minh with the French Communist Party and Marseille" which will take place in early December on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's arrival in Marseille, the first destination in his journey to find a way for national liberation.

They emphasised that the workshop will be a good opportunity to educate about the close relationship and solidarity between the two parties, especially for young generations of the two countries and to honour President Ho Chi Minh.

The two sides also discussed a plan to organise the fourth theoretical seminar between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the French Communist Party.

Earlier, during a working session with representatives of the Communist Party of Britain, the two parties agreed to increase the sharing of information, expe🧸rience and promote the exchanges between the two sides./.
