Tay Ninh (VNA) - The Union of YouthFederations of Cambodia has presented Vietnam with medical supplies to support thecountry in the COVID-19 fight.
The gifts were handed over to the Vietnam YouthFederation (VYF)’s chapter in the southwestern border province of Tay Ninh, atthe Moc Bai International Border Gate in Tay Ninh’s Ben Cau district onDecember 28.
The donations include face masks, gloves, protectivegears and hand sanitizer, along with noodle.
At the hand-over ceremony, Nguyen Thi Truc Mai,President of the VYF’s Tay Ninh chapter, thanked the Cambodian side for thegifts, and expressed her hope that the two sides will continue their coordinationin the pandemic combat, while carrying forward the friendship and solidaritybetween people and youths of the two countries.
She suggested increasing exchanges between youngpeople in Tay Ninh and their peers in Cambodian border provinces./.
The Government of Thailand has presented medial supplies worth 2.5 million THB (75,000 USD) to help Vietnam in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Border Guard Command of the central province of Quang Binh on November 23 presented medical supplies and equipment worth 400 million VND (over 17,000 USD) to their counterparts in the Lao border province of Khammouane to support them in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Vietnam on December 15 handed over medical supplies and personal protective equipment worth 450,000 USD to 21 Vietnamese localities, including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to aid them in the COVID-19 combat.
As part of the campaign “Breath Again” launched by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, five ambulances were presented to medical stations in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An and Hau Giang on December 20.
