Therequest was made by President Truong Tan Sang at a conference on courttasks for 2012 held by the Supreme People’s Court in HCM City onJan. 3.

President Sang, who is also head of the Central SteeringCommittee for Judicial Reform, urged the sector to build a strongcontingent of employees, with good professional ethnics and skills.

Thesector should to have a plan to train its staff to become legal expertscapable of joining regional and international jurisdictionalinstitutions to defend national sovereignty and benefit during thecountry’s international integration.

In 2012, the sector willfocus on the reform of tries to renew judicial procedures at courts inorder to improve the quality and efficiency of hearings. It will alsoplace importance on assessment of implementation of the 1992Constitution and increase personnel training.

The SupremePeople’s Court and the Presidential Office on this occasion signed aregulation on coordination between the two agencies./.
