Within 24 hours, the process of receiving the donated liver, two kidneys, two corneas, and skin to conducte transplantation for six patients was completed. The last surgery ended at 8:00 pm on May 3.

The Hue Central Hospital in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on June 3 received five corneas from the United States for transplants.

The family of a 27-year-old man in Hanoi, who was declared brain dead in a traffic accident, has voluntarily donated all of his internal organs as well as his corneas and tissues to patients needing replacement, according to the Vietnam National Coordinating Centre for Human Organ Transplantation.
