Contest to seek dancers for Compagnie par Terre’s show

♈- Young people are encouraged to participate in a contest to find hip-hop dancers for a show staged by the French-based art troupe Compagnie par Terre in HCM City in early May.

The contest is organised by the French Institute in Vietnam in cooperation with its partners, including Vietnamese-French choreographer and dancer Anne Nguyen, winner of the 2013 Nouveau Talent Chorégraphie (SACD) prize in France.
The jury led by Anne will select three final groups on April 30. These groups will perform in a workshop featuring the art of hip-hop on May 2.
They will receive support from professional dancers from leading troupes such as Gameloft Vietnam, Dancenter, Saigon Dub Station and Arabesque Dance Vietnam. The winner will receive 10 million VND (nearly 500 USD) in cash. All finalists will perform in a show with the dancers of Compagnie par Terre, which will begin at 7:30pm on May 4 at Ben Thanh Theatre in District 1.-VNA

𒁃 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
