Congratulations to Cambodia on Independence Day

The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee has sent a message of congratulations to the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee on the 64th Independence Day of Cambodia (November 9).
Hanoi (VNA)– The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee has sent a message of congratulationsto the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee on the 64th IndependenceDay of Cambodia (November 9).

The congratulatory message reads that the CPVand the Vietnamese people are very happy to see that the fine neighbourliness,traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainabilitybetween Vietnam and Cambodia have been developing in a more effective andpractical manner in all fields.

In 2017, the two Parties, States and people haveorganised a range of activities marking the 50th founding anniversary ofdiplomatic ties and the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year. 

Those celebrations have been held diversely,formally and practically, demonstrating the solidarity, time-honouredfriendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States andpeople, the message writes.

Also on this occasion,CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a flower basket and President TranDai Quang sent a congratulatory letter to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.

Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc sent a congratulatory letter to his Cambodian counterpart SamdechTecho Hun Sen.

National AssemblyChairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan sent a letter of congratulations to President ofthe National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin and President of the Senate SamdechSay Chhum.

Deputy Prime Minister,Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also congratulated Prak Sokhonn, SeniorMinister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.-VNA
