Hanoi (VNA) – The Institute of Natural Resourcesand Environment Training (INRET) and the Korea Environment Institute (KEI) heldthe ninth international conference on environment personnel development inHanoi on June 26.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Natural Resourcesand Environment Le Cong Thanh spoke highly of environment personnel trainingcooperation between central and local State management agencies, as well asbetween domestic and foreign scientists over the past years, contributing tosocio-economic development of the country and the sector in particular.
He wished that international organisations would continueassisting the ministry and the institute to improve training efficiency, thusmeeting demand amid the fourth industrial revolution.
Participants also shared experience in the field fromcountries.
Deputy Minister Thanh witnessed the signing of a cooperationagreement between the INRET and the KEI during the event.
With a history of nearly four decades, the KEI is anaffiliate of the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Environment and tasked withenvironment personnel training.
It has offered training courses to more than 2,500 officersfrom 97 countries globally.-VNA
