Conference on odonto-maxillo-facial opens in Hanoi

The sixth national odonto-maxillo-facial scientific conference opened in Hanoi on August 1 with the participation of more than 1,000 domestic and foreign participants.
The sixth national odonto-maxillo-facial scientific conference opened inHanoi on August 1 with the participation of more than 1,000domestic and foreign participants.

This is an annual eventco-organised by the Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association, theNational Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology and the FDI World DentalFederation.

The conference this year will hear 30 reports ofdomestic and foreign scientists on specialised subjects includingjawbone orthopedic surgery, dental implanting and orthodontics.

In opening the three-day event, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen VietTien said Vietnam’s odonto-maxillo-facial sector has seen strongdevelopment, contributing to taking care of people’s health over thelast years.

The event will provide an opportunity fordomestic doctors to access latest research and technologies in thefield, especially in the application of advanced techniques to improvethe quality of examination and treatment.

Aninternational dental exhibition was also launched alongside theconference the same day, showcasing advanced dental equipment andlatest care products from the world’s leading producers.-VNA
