Hanoi (VNA)♚ – President Truong Tan Sang sent condolences to the Republic of Korea (RoK) over the decease of the country’s ex-President Kim Young-sam on November 23.
The message was delivered to RoK President Park Geun-hye and the bereaved family.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also extended condolences to RoK Foreign Minster Yun Byung-se the same day.
Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son, on behalf of the Vietnamese Government, paid tribute to the late leader and wrote in the funeral book at the RoK Embassy in Hanoi on November 24.
Meanwhile, Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang paid the last respects to Kim Young-sam at the RoK Consulate General in the city.
Kim Young-sam was born in 1927 and served as RoK President from 1993 to 1998. He passed away in Seoul on November 22.-VNA
