Hanoi (VNA) – Hundreds of photos highlighting thelandscapes and daily life of locals in Sierra Nevada, a famous touristdestination in the north of Colombia, are being displayed on Dinh Tien Hoang streetof Hanoi.
The photos were taken by Colombian photographer Jorge Gamboawho has won many noble awards in Colombia and the world, including the GrandPrix Gramado, Cannes and FIAP.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Colobian Ambassador toVietnam Miguel Angel Rodriguez said that the photos feature the traditions andpractices of Colombian tribes, with many similarities with those of ethnicminority groups in Vietnam.
He underscored the significance of maintaining the diversityin ethnicity, language and culture of the tribal communities, while affirmingthat the exhibition is part of activities to enhance the mutual understandingbetween people of the two nations.
Visitors to the exhibition have the chance to enjoy folkdances of Colombia.
Located at a height of 5,000m, Sierra Nevada is the highestcoastal mountain in the world, which has been recognised by UNESCO as a worldnatural heritage site./.
A Colombian man has left a quarantine area in Hoi An city in the central province of Quang Nam without being given the all clear, the provincial steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control said on April 12.
