Hanoi (VNA) – The northern region🐈 of Vietnam is predicted to experience a fresh cold spell from November 28 to December 8, according tothe National Centre for Hydro-meteorologica♐l Forecasting.

It is forecast to cause the temperature nationwide to be 0.5 –1 degrees Celsius lower than the annual average, especially in the northernmountainous region. It will also trigger moderate to heavy rains in the centraland southern regions, even over 500mm in certain areas. In the capital city of Hanoi, the temperature is forecast to drop at night andearly morning, with days from November 30 to December 8 seeing the lowest temperature./.

Vietnam pioneers use of AI andꦚ remote sensing to monitor seawater quality

According to Dr. Vu Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Space Centre and head of the project, this is the first study in Vietnam to simultaneously employ Sentinel-2 satellite data, advanced machine learning algorithms, and the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud computing platform to model and monitor key seawater quality parameters.
