Da Nang (VNA) – Chinese navy training ship QiJiguang is visiting the central coastal city of Da Nang from May 23 to 25, aspart of the activities within the nations’ bilateral cooperation framework.
Aboard the vessel are officers, sailors, and students fromthe Dalian Naval Academy, an education institute under the Chinese People'sLiberation Army (PLA) Navy. The delegation is headed by Major General SuYinsheng, Political Commissar at the academy.
After an official welcome ceremony on May 23 at the Tien Saport, the Chinese delegates are scheduled to pay a courtesy call to the Da Nangauthorities; engage in exchange activities with the Vietnam People's NavyRegion 3 Command and the Military Region 5 High Command; and tour the city.

The visit is expected to help consolidate and beef up thefriendship between Vietnam and China in general and the relationship betweentheir naval forces in particular./.
