Chinese museum displays President Ho Chi Minh’s photos

The Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History is running an exhibition of photos of late President Ho Chi Minh in China from December 5, 2018 to January 6, 2019.

Beijing (VNA) – The Guangdong Museum ofRevolutionary History is running an exhibition of photos of late President HoChi Minh in China from December 5, 2018 to January 6, 2019.

The photo exhibition is in Guangzhou, the capital ofGuangdong as part of the partnership between the Guangdong Museum ofRevolutionary History and the Hanoi-based Ho Chi Minh Museum.

On display at the exhibition “Following President Ho ChiMinh’s footsteps in China” are photos of the Vietnamese revolutionary leaderduring his time in China since he left Moscow to live in Guangzhou during the1920s, using the name Li Rui.

In Guangzhou, he served as an interpreter and secretary forMikhail Borodin, a political advisor for the forerunner of democraticrevolution in China – Sun Zhongshan. The Chinese city was also where PresidentHo Chi Minh founded the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League to train manyVietnamese youths who became the seeds of the revolutionary movement inVietnam.

The photos also tell stories about his time in Guangxi wherehe met with China’s first premier Zhou Enlai and in Hangzhou where he met ChairmanMao Zedong.

The Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou sees theexhibition as an important event to inspire Vietnamese people, particularly youngsters,to learn from the late president. It has organised a number of tours to theexhibition for Vietnamese expats and students living in Guangzhou.

The event is also expected to improve ties between Vietnamand China. –VNA

ꦏ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
