Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang hosted a reception in Hanoion February 7 for outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong.
He spoke highly of Hong’s positive and effectivecontributions to boosting the Vietnam-China friendship and comprehensivecooperation.
Consolidating and developing the bilateral ties in a stableand healthy manner is not only the responsibility but also an objectiverequirement suitable for the basic and long-term interests of the twocountries’ people and for peace, stability and development in the region andthe world, Quang said, adding that this is a consistent policy and a strategicselection of Vietnam.
He suggested both sides continue maintaining high-levelvisits and meetings to intensify political trust, increase the efficiency ofexisting cooperation mechanisms, pursue satisfactory settlement of disagreements,and maintain peace and stability in the East Sea.
The Vietnamese State leader expressed his hope that in anypositions, the ambassador will continue contributing to the Vietnam-Chinacomprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Ambassador Hong affirmed that the Chinese Party, State andpeople attach importance to their relations with the Vietnamese counterparts.
China is willing to work with Vietnam to deepen thetraditional friendship, expand win-win cooperation, and further boost the bilateralpartnership, he added.-VNA
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong hosted a banquet in Hanoi on September 27 to celebrate the 68th National Day of the People’s Republic of China (October 1).
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong has been awarded the insignia “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” for his contributions to the two countries’ relations.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
