Hanoi (VNA) – A cherry blossom viewing festival opened at the Hoi AnImpression Theme Park in Hoi An ancient city of the central province of QuangNam on February 19.

Asidefrom flower viewing, the three-day festival offers numerous activities to visitors,such as lanterns making, calligraphy and folk games.

Local specialties,including sweet desserts, are also served at the festival.

Especially,a large-scale outdoor visual art show entitled “Hoi An Memories” will takeplace at 7.30pm each night.

Hoi An is acclaimed most for its centuries-oldambience, homes and streets, its rich culture and delicious cuisine, accordingto the international magazine Better Homes and Gardens.

In 2018, the city was named to the list of thetop 10 places in Southeast Asia by travel publisher Rough Guides.

In June last year, Hoi An gained the second place in a list of thesafest and most exciting places on this Earth for solo travellers compiled bytravel editors at UK travel site Momondo.

This year, travel magazine TravelLeisure has named it among the 50 best holiday destinations around theworld.-VNA
