Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Top500 CEO Golf Championship (VCG500) will be organised for the first time in Hanoilater this month.
The tournament will be jointly organised bythe Vietnamnet online newspaper, the Vietnam Report Company, the MichaelDukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation and the Hanoi Golf Academy.
According to the organisers, the event isexpected to give CEOs a chance to meet, talk, share and find chances tocooperate with each other.
"It has been the demand of the CEOs tohave a sports competition. Vietnamnet, which has not been involved in any golfevent before, wants to be a bridge connecting leaders of enterprises. Webelieve it will be a successful tournament," said Pham Anh Tuan,editor-in-chief of Vietnamnet and head of the VCG500 organising board.
The VCG500 is expected to lure more than100 golfers on January 20 at the Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong. They will be dividedinto three groups.
The organisers will also introduce theMichael Dukakis Institute Fellowship for the best CEOs in the fields ofbusiness, culture, science and sports, during the event. - VNA
About 125 Vietnamese golfers from many countries worldwide competed at the Golden Lotus, an annual expanded golf tournament held on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia on July 1-2.
Over 800 golfers nationwide will compete at the golf tournament FLC Golf Championship 2016 at the 18-hole Golflinks course in Nhon Ly resort, Binh Dinh province, from September 3 - October 1.
