Celebrities set for centre stage at nation's premier charity gala

More than 100 domestic and overseas Vietnamese artists, beauty queens and models will appear at the 26th Duyen Dang Viet Nam (Charming Vietnam) gala to be held at Hoa Binh Theatre in HCM City on January 10 and 11.
More than 100 domestic and overseas Vietnamese artists, beauty queensand models will appear at the 26th Duyen Dang Viet Nam (CharmingVietnam) gala to be held at Hoa Binh Theatre in HCM City onJanuary 10 and 11.

The annual fund-raising musicand fashion event is being directed by five well-known directors, Tat MyLoan, Linh Rateau, Tuan Andrew Nguyen, Tan Loc and Tuan Le.

The show, which will last 2.5 hours, includes talented young directorswho have different performance styles, said the show’s director Tat MyLoan.

It will feature Lang Toi (My Village), adistinctive circus creation from the visionary team of Tuan Le, NguyenNhat Ly and Nguyen Lan Maurice.

The show hassuccessfully toured in many countries, including France, the US,England, Belgium and Spain, Loan said at a press meeting held in Ho ChiMinh City on December 27.

Huong Lan, Elvis Phuong,My Tam, Quang Linh, Thu Minh, Ho Ngoc Ha, Le Quyen, Duc Tuan and ThanhBui are among other popular singers who will be on stage at the gala.

Dozens of thousands of disadvantaged students havereceived Nguyen Thai Binh scholarships with funds raised from thecharity event.

The event is organised by Thanh NienMedia Corporation, Thanh Nien (Young People) newspaper and Mot The Gioi(One World) online newspaper.
