Despite the various improvements in the promotion of gender quality and women empowerment, much still remains for Vietnam to do to ease gender prejudice and enhance public awareness on women’s role, according to experts.
The Vietnamese Government has made a great success in advancing gender equality, and the UN Women has accompanied the Government in the work, Elisa Fernandez Saenz, Country Representative of UN Women in Vietnam, has said.
More than 80 experts from governmental agencies, domestic and international organizations, and academia attended “The launching workshop on the review of the National Strategy on Gender Equality and the development of the new National Strategy on Gender Equality 2021-2030” in Hanoi on December 6.
