Hanoi (VNA) – A team from Can Tho University finished fourth out of total16 teams at the recent 12th Asia Bridge Competition in Indonesia.
Theteam, made up of students from the university’s Department of Technology,earned the fifth spot in the composition and bridge architecture events at thecompetition.
Thisyear, the annual contest drew the participation of teams from six countries andterritories, including Mongolia, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam and hostIndonesia.
Atthe competition, participants joined a concept design presentation session anda bridge assembly and loading test session.
The13th edition will be held in Thailand while Can Tho University will host twoyears later.-VNA
A delegation from the Belgian Federal Parliament and the Belgian Embassy in Vietnam visited Can Tho University in the Mekong Delta city of the same name on March 9 to discuss cooperation in developing human resources in education as well as issues of mutual concern such as water resources and high-tech agriculture.
