Cambodian Royal Guards extend New Year wishes to Vinh Long

Vinh Long (VNA) – A Cambodian Royal Guards delegation led by Deputy Commander GeneralKeo Sa Bun visited and extended wishes to the Mekong Delta province of VinhLong on January 21 on the occasion of the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year).
Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang thanked the delegation for visiting theprovince on the occasion of Tet, Vietnam’s largest traditional festival duringthe year.
He briefed theguests on the province’s social and economic achievements and hoped the affectionbetween the two countries in general and between Vinh Long province andCambodia in particular will always thrive.
General Keo SaBun expressed his great gratefulness to Vietnam and Vinh Long in particular fortheir all-round assistance to Cambodia over the past time.
He said he believesthat the solidarity and friendship between the two nations will continue to bestrengthened and nurtured by next generations.

The People’s Committee of the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long on December 20 met officials of the Cambodian province of BanTeay Meanchey to exchange experience in socio-economic development.
The Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long has set to expand the local index of industrial production to 12 percent, and reach 42,000 billion VND in total retail sales of consumer goods and services, and 360 million USD in export turnover in 2017.
Officials from the Cambodian province of Kampong Speu extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the administration and people of Vinh Long while visiting the southwestern province on January 18.
At the working session, General Secretary Lam presented the Party Committee of the VFF and central mass organisations with the Politburo’s Decision No. 304-QD/TW, which outlines the new structure, functions and tasks of the VFF Central Committee, marking a significant step in improving its organisational effectiveness.
Describing the exhibition as a large-scaled, content-rich, and unprecedented event with high requirements and limited preparation time, PM Pham Minh Chinh urged all ministries, sectors, and localities to participate with the highest sense of responsibility, ensuring the exhibition is inclusive, objective, truthful, feasible, and impactful.

Cheng stressed that this is third time PM Chinh has attended the meeting and he is among the few senior government officials participating in this year's event, which is considered as a rare and commendable gesture.
The fact that the Vietnamese PM has been invited to attend and speak at this important event for three consecutive years reflects the WEF as well as the international business community's recognition and high regard for Vietnam's position, role, and contributions to global and regional economic growth.
