Cambodia to hold media conference on SEA Games, ASEAN Para Games

Host Cambodia will hold a broadcast and media conference on March 16 and 17 to introduce the coming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) and the 12th ASEAN Para Games.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Host Cambodia will hold a broadcastand media conference on March 16 and 17 to introduce the coming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) and the 12th ASEAN Para Games.

The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia said theconference will be attended by reporters from Cambodian and international mediaagencies, especially those from the countries competing at the events.

On March 16, the Chairman of the National OrganisingCommittee of the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games(CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC), Samdech Tea Banh, is scheduled to deliver an opening speech and offer a warm welcome to all national and international media. Afterthat, the organising committee will provide a report on the preparations forthe Games, a plan for holding the torch relay in 10 ASEAN countries, the Gamesbroadcasting plan, and some other issues.

Meanwhile, CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC will arrange a fact-finding trip onMarch 17 for the media to the Chroy Changvar convention centre and the MorodokTecho sports complex, which will be the venues of the SEA Games opening andclosing ceremonies.

The 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games are respectively slated for May and June. Themed “Sports: Livein Peace”, the 32nd SEA Games will take place in Phnom Penh capital andfour other localities, namely Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk,Kampot and Kep, from May 5 to 17./.
